Experience This Powerful Movie Event!

What: A special screening of the movie, TRADE (Rated R), will raise public awareness about how sex traffickers operate and the hidden nature of the crime. Based on a true story from investigative journalism, it stars Kevin Kline, Cesar Ramos, and Kate del Castillo. The movie will be followed by a short, Q & A session on the topic of human trafficking, a growing crime against women and children.

When: 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2008

Where: The Armstrong Center, 13040 Abercorn St., Savannah.

How much: FREE!

Who: This event is brought to you by the ZONTA Club of Savannah, the HOLA Program at Armstrong Atlantic State University, and the City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs’ Weave-A-Dream and the Georgia Council for the Arts through appropriations from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Why: To raise awareness about human trafficking, the plight of the victims, and the fact that it is happening here in the USA, possibly in your own neighborhood. (An estimated 200,000 American citizens are trafficked domestically.)
